The “Alpenkalender 2024” fundraising campaign succeeded in raising 200 euros for the non-profit organization Makungu. This result was achieved through the Alpine Calendar 2024, which not only presents images of the Alps, but also helps to support charitable projects worldwide.
The Alpine Calendar 2024, known for its photographs of the mountains, has not only delighted nature lovers this year, but has also had a positive impact on the social commitment of its readership. The idea of donating part of the proceeds to charity was taken up by many people.
The 200 euros raised through the sale of the Alpenkalender 2024 will now go in full to the charity Makungu.

Makungu – A home for children in Kenya
Makungu is Swahili and means dawn. It is a symbol of a new beginning, hope and opportunities that can be seized anew every day. In 2017, we at Makungu seized the opportunity and gave orphans in Kenya, whose orphanage was suddenly closed, a home again.

Makungu is a non-profit organization consisting of the non-profit “Makungu e.V.” based in Germany and the officially registered CBO (Community Based Organization) in Kenya “Makungu-Waweru”. The aim is to give abandoned children and orphans in Kenya a safeandlovinghome, to create a positive future for them through access to (school) education and to promote communication at eye level between Kenya and Germany.”
Here you can find the Makungu website and continue to support them.
The donors and supporters of this campaign have not only purchased the 2024AlpineCalendar, but have also made a valuablecontribution to a meaningful and important cause. The fundraising campaign is a vivid example of how the combination of aesthetic pleasure and social commitment can bring about positive change in the world.
